Calling all young adults (ages 18-35)!
Do you want to learn more about your faith, meet new friends and have fun with other Catholic young adults? Whether you're new to church or have been attending for years, everyone is welcome to join the St. Gabriel's Young Adults Group!
We meet every Thursday from 7:15pm to around 9:00pm in the parish hall. Each week we gather for faith-based discussion, prayer, and community. We normally choose a topic and center our meetings around this, while also arranging an outing for at least one Thursday of the month. We also have special guests/events (ex. Religious Sisters (guest), Salsa Night (event)), bible studies, member led presentations and retreats!
Discussions:
-We strive to discuss and go deeper into a variety of topics that impact us in our everyday lives! We are always looking to discover and learn more about our faith to help us be better Catholics.
Social Activities:
-Community is a big part of the Catholic lifestyle and we make sure not to miss out! Our group partakes in a wide selection of social activities from outings (bowling, hikes, etc.), trips (camping, pilgrimages, etc.), dinners and more!
Retreats:
-Life can move quickly, and its important that we take the opportunities to slow down, and listen to what God wants to tell us To help us find these opportunities, we organize and share information on a variety of retreats!
Values:
-Our group is dedicated to faith development, fostering community and fellowship, serving others, encouraging spiritual growth, and providing support for one another.
Vision:
-To foster authentic relationships that grow in faith and positively impact our community. We are a vibrant group of young adults committed to faith, friendship, and service, inspired by the teachings of Christ.
Even if Thursday evenings do not work with your current schedule, join anyway, because we frequently have additional events on other weekdays or on the weekend, and more ideas for events are always welcome.
Regular Weekly Thursday Topic Meeting Official Schedule:
~7:15 - ~7:30 pm - Gather and relax in the parish hall
~7:30 - ~8:30 pm - Discussion about some aspect of our Catholic faith and life
~8:30 - ~9:00 pm - Socializing
No registration required, but we encourage you to join our Whatsapp community with the button below to get announcements on what the plan is each week. If you drop in without connecting with us first, which is perfectly fine, you do run the risk that we might all be elsewhere, off on an adventure somewhere in/around the Burlington area.
