Fr. Ian has been a great blessing to the parish community and his many contributions will not be easily forgotten.
In particular, the lovely statue of Mary and shrine to St. Therese which beautify and enhance our church were both inspired by Fr. Ian.
Even more importantly, Fr. Ian has faithfully served the spiritual needs of the community in an exemplary way and his enthusiasm and love for the liturgy have led to many memorable and prayerful celebrations. One of the many positive fruits of the devout liturgical celebrations was the great interest created among altar servers and the youth in the parish an interest which it is safe to say has not been seen before in the parish.
Other Fr. Ian’s contributions include his supportive participation in the priestly ordination of St. Gabriel’s parishioner Fr. Peter Marsalek, establishing a parish Internet website, and recently, assisting with the preparation of Permanent Deacon Victor Kubrak for his diaconate ordination on June 10, 2006.
For all of the above mentioned things, and for all of the other hidden ways in which Fr. Ian has blessed the community, we sincerely thank him for his service and friendship and pledge our prayers for his continued success as a special laborer in God's vineyard.
Thank you Fr. Ian!
