Welcome all children. We are so excited to once again offer the Children's Liturgy program at St. Gabriel Church at the 11am mass in English and the 9:15 mass in Polish. The Word of God is read and discussed in a way to which they can understand and relate. Questions and interaction are encouraged, as well as their prayers. As Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me; do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the Kingdom of God belongs." (Mk. 10:14)
Your Leadership Team:
11:00 English Mass Mary Muller 9:15 Polish Mass Dorota Wilk Michael Parchimowicz Lauren Fayarchuk 1.What is Children’s Liturgy?
The Liturgy is offered to children ages 4-10 during the first part of the Mass. The children will be called to the front of the church and led to their own location to hear God’s word in a way designed especially for them.
Children’s Liturgy currently takes place in the Parish Centre while renovations are being made to the Youth Room in the basement of the church. It will re-locate there once renovations are completed.
2.When is Children’s Liturgy?
Children’s Liturgy is held on Sundays at the following times:
9:15 – Polish
11:00 – English
3.Who leads Children’s Liturgy?
We have a fully-trained, dedicated team of Liturgists and youth volunteers who lead the teachings each week.
4.Do I need to register my child for Children’s Liturgy?
No – preregistration is not required. Just have your child go to the front of the church at the beginning of the mass when Father calls them up.
5.Do we have to commit to every Sunday?
No – Children’s Liturgy is offered every Sunday whether there is one child or 50. Your child can participate as often or as little as they like.
6.My child is older than 10, can they still participate?
While we encourage children older than 10 to stay and participate fully with the congregation during all parts of the mass, there are opportunities to volunteer to help with the Liturgists. They can call the office to volunteer.
If your child is in Grade 4 or higher they might want to consider becoming an Altar Server. This ministry helps keep the youth engaged in the mass and helps to educate them on their importance in the Body of Christ and the church community.
7.I have more questions, who can I ask? You can always call the Church Office at 905-336-7144. If you have specific questions or concerns regarding Children’s Liturgy at the English Mass please contact: Mary Muller at 905-632-4715 or Dorota Wilk at 905-331-8720 for questions regarding Children’s Liturgy at the Polish Mass

Do you think Jesus is asking you to help him? Father Janusz and Father Jacek need your help too.
Altar Servers are a very important part of our liturgy. They help the mass to run smoothly. They help the ushers by setting up before the mass. They help clean up after the mass and they make sure that Father has everything he needs to celebrate mass. They also help at weddings and funerals.
If you are in grade 4 and above you are welcome to assist at the Table of the Lord in this important and rewarding ministry. Servers can choose their preferred mass time and are also called to serve at various other celebrations throughout the Church year.
Training is provided. If you are interested please call Nancy Meehan at 905-336-9915 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org
